The Buffalo Run is one of Lincoln's oldest and most popular road races.  Both serious racers and casual runners enjoy meeting in Pioneers Park for this 5 mile road race.  Age group competition is available in fifteen age divisions for men and women. Veterans that have completed the race at least five previous times can enter the Buffalo Run Veterans Competition.  All participants will receive a pair of Buffalo Run running shorts.  We invite you to join us!

THE COURSE -- Pioneers Park is a scenic but demanding place to run. Race begins at the top of Pinewood.  Use the Van Dorn Street entrance to the park (1/2 mile west of Coddington).  The course is certified.

ENTRY FEE -- $15 if received or postmarked by September 4th.  $25 if received after September 4th. (No race day entries)

TO ENTER -- Mail or bring your entry to:  Lincoln Running Company,  1213 Q St., Lincoln NE 68508. Entry fee must accompany entry form and is non-refundable.  Make all checks to the Lincoln Running Company.  No entries will be accepted on race day.

PACKET PICK UP -- You may pick up your race packet on Saturday, September 11 at the Lincoln Running Company from 10 am and 5 pm.  On race day, packets will be available at 7 am just north of Pinewood Bowl in Pioneers Park.

RUNNING SHORTS -- Each participant will receive a pair of microfiber running shorts.

TIME LIMIT -- Participants will need to run a 20-minute mile in order to receive a time for the race.  The clock and the race will be stopped at 9:40 a.m.

AWARDS --

1) Trophies to the first four men, the first four women, the first man over 40, and the first woman over 40.

2) Distinctive Buffalo Run Award Winner T-Shirts to the first three men and the first three women in each of the following age divisions: 15 & under, 16-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

VETERANS COMPETITION -- Runners who have finished five or more previous Buffalo Runs will win a Buffalo Run Award Winner T-Shirt if they run faster than the average of their five most recent Buffalo Runs.  Please indicate on your entry if you are eligible.  Runners who earn an Award Winner T-Shirt by placing high in their age group as well as bettering their average will receive only one T-Shirt.
