Novartis Run

Runners: Novartis Consumer Health and the Lincoln Track Club invite you to celebrate family fitness by participating in the April 19, 2008 Novartis Run.  Everyone is welcome in the 2-mile fun run / walk and the 10 kilometer race.  The 26th Annual Novartis Run has a long history of providing not only a fun family event, but also a competitive race for top area runners competing in the Lincoln Track Club circuit.  

Designated as the lead over-the-counter manufacturing site for Novartis Consumer Health, the Lincoln plant manufactures and distributes quality products throughout the United States.

The plant is located on 420 acres northeast of Lincoln, and contains over 330,000 square feet.  Major products marketed and manufactured by Novartis Consumer Health are Ascriptin®, Benefiber®, Doan’s®, Exlax®, Gas-X®, Habitrol®, Maalox®, Theraflu®, Triaminic®, Lamisil®, Comtrex®, Excedrin®, Bufferin®, and NoDoz®. The Lincoln Plant produces more than 6 billion tablets per year.

AWARDS:  Prizes will be given in the 10K race and 2-Mile fun run/walk.  Gift certificates may be redeemed from the Lincoln Running Company.

OVERALL:  In the 10K race, the top three men and women finishers will receive gift certificates as follows: 1st -- $100, 2nd -- $75, 3rd -- $50.  In the 2 mile fun run/walk, the top three men and women will receive $25, $15, and $10 gift certificates respectively.  There will be no age division winners in the 2 mile fun run/walk.

DIVISIONS FOR AWARDS:  Age divisions (men and women): 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up, and wheelchair.  The top three men and top three women in each 10K division will receive $25, $15, and $10 gift certificates respectively.

SPECIAL NOTE:  There will be no duplication of awards.

T-SHIRT:  Participants in the 2-mile fun run/walk and 10K race will receive a T-shirt.

ENTRY FEE:  Entries must be received or postmarked by Friday, April 4, 2008.  $10 for first family entrant,  $5 for each additional family member.  Immediate family members only.  This includes parents and children age 19 and under.  All family entries must be mailed together.  A separate entry form is required for each participant.

If received after April 4, $15 per person. NO FAMILY DISCOUNT. 

No entries accepted after April 18. NO RACE DAY ENTRIES.  Late entries are costly.  We want your entry on time, not your late fee.

EARLY PACKET PICKUP:  Friday, April 18, 10 am - 5:30 pm, Lincoln Running Company, 1213 Q Street, 474-4557. 

RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP:  7:45 - 8:45 am at Holmes Park.

RESULTS:  Results will be available on this website and will not be mailed.

SPECIAL ATTENTION:  After the race we will again have refreshments in the park for all participants.

KID'S GRAND PRIX:  The Novartis Run will be the second run in the Kid's Grand Prix series.  This special program for elementary children provides prizes based on participation in selected LTC races.
