You are invited to participate in the 33rd Annual Havelock Charity Run consisting of 10K and 3K races.  One of Lincoln's favorite races, the Havelock Charity Run is distinguished by team competition and the Pinnacle Bank Challenge.  Whether you run as an individual or help form a team, we hope that you will join us for one of Lincoln's largest running events.  After the race, you, your family and friends will be able to enjoy theOnline Entry awards ceremony in Havelock Park.

ENTRY -- Entry registration is available online only.  Please click on the link provided to go to the registration page; there you can create a team or register with an existing team for the 10K race, enter as an individual for either the 10K or 3K race, or enter with a Grand Prix pass.

ENTRY FEE --
$17 per person.  Online registration for teams closes at 6:00PM CDT on Wednesday, June 1.  Late entry registration for individuals can be done at early packet pickup (see below) on Friday, June 3 for $25.  However, there is no guarantee that those entering on June 4 will receive a T-shirt at that time (you may have to wait until an additional order is made).  Cash and checks are accepted for late entries on June 3.

EARLY PACKET PICKUP -- Friday, June 3, from 10am - 6:30pm
at the Pinnacle Bank Branch at 40th & South Street.

PARKING --
Do not park on Havelock Avenue east of 60th Street or on 63rd Street south of Havelock Avenue.  Avoid the parking lots of businesses that are open on race day.  We suggest parking south of Havelock Avenue and west of 63rd Street.  Parking is available at St Patrick's Church, 6216 Morrill, and at the Goodyear Recreation Center, 6224 Logan.

PINNACLE BANK CHALLENGE --
The Havelock Charity Run emphasizes team competition, while still welcoming individual entries.  In the team competition, Pinnacle Bank will donate up to $75 to a charity chosen by your team.  When your team is created, you will be able to choose a charity from the menu provided online.  This charity receives $50 if five members of your team complete the run; if your team runs faster than the designated Pinnacle Bank Team, your charity receives a total of $75.  Last year Pinnacle Bank donated more than $9,000 to the charities selected by teams.

TEAM RULES:
1) Any group of runners may form a team.  Each team must have a captain who is responsible for creating the team entry and a team pass code on the registration page.  The team captain also selects the team category, charity and race distance.

2)
There is no team entry fee; each team member pays the entry fee when registering.  Additional team members select the team name from the menu and enter the pass code when entering.

3)
Teams may have a maximum of seven members; team scores for the Pinnacle Bank Challenge are calculated by adding the times of the top five finishers (with the exception of Mixed Teams).

4)
Special team eligibility requirements:

Youth: Age 14 or younger.

Mixed: At least two members of each gender must count in the score.

Corporate: Employees and family members are eligible.

PINNACLE BANK TEAMS
3K - Colby Gauff, Derek Springman, Jeff Bomberger, Kirk Schlueter, Emily Eigsti, Jeff Pippitt, Brittany Felton
10K -
Craig Anderson, Brian Anderson, Keri Merten, Cody Oborny, Alyssa Fiala, John Laflin, Shane Bucklin, Tanner Hamby, Megan Hovendick

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1)
While all participants should know the course, it is particularly important for slower participants (13:44/mile pace or slower) since course volunteers will leave 1-1/2 hours after the start of the race.  Slower participants will be allowed to finish but may be asked to move off the street and to the sidewalk for their own safety.  The finish line might be disassembled and no guarantees if there will be any food left.

2)
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the Havelock Charity Run encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of either the 10K or 3K races.

3)
It is not permissible for runners or walkers to be accompanied by dogs, leashed or unleashed, in either race.

4)
Teams must choose from the charities listed on the menu online; no exceptions will be allowed.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! -- If you would like to volunteer to help out with pre-race or race time activities, please contact race directors Tom Larson or Clark Potter at havelockcharityrun@hotmail.com.  Your help is needed and will be greatly appreciated
