Eligible
Runners:
Any 6th grader or younger child. No skaters or dogs allowed. Younger children may be accompanied by adults in heats 5 & 6.
Awards:
Following the run, many prizes,
including 30 Free Agent Maverick bicycles from Bike Pedalers will be awarded on the north
side of the Capitol. One bike will be given to the art contest winner. All runners will
also receive many valuable
coupons and each runner will receive a gift from Sandhill's.
Special
Applebee's
Award:
Every participant will receive a free kid's meal from Applebee's.
School Awards:
Schools will be divided into Division A (500 or more students), Division B
(380 to 499 students), and Division C (379 students or less). ESCE &
ExCite students will not count in a school’s enrollment total. Award plaques will be given in all 3 size divisions and award winners will be determined by the percentage of their student body that a school has enrolled.
Every school of 100 or more that enrolls at least 10% of their student body will receive a plaque.
Entries must be received by April 21st to count in their school’s totals. Non-public
schools who wish to compete in the contest for the first time must notify the
run director by April 1.
T-Shirts:
T-shirts are awarded to every runner who enters by Wednesday, April 21st. Be sure to mark your size on the entry form.
Sizes run small so order accordingly. See the t-shirt
designs from the previous 22 years.
Entry Fee & Family Plan:
1st family member is regular price. If submitted together additional family members from the same household are
$6.00 each.
Family plan entries must be received by Friday, April 16. (Remember each runner
must fill out a separate entry.)
$10.00 if received on or before Friday, April 16.
$11.00 from April 17th to Wednesday, April 21.
No entries accepted by mail after Wednesday, April 21st.
$6.00 entry (no
t-shirt included) at Embassy Suites on Friday April 30, 5:00 until 6:30 pm.
No race day entries.

4500 Lowell Ave, Lincoln, NE 68506.
Entry must be accompanied by check payable to Lincoln Track Club. Checks are non refundable.
Run Date & Time:
May 1st, 2010 8:00 a.m. Heats will be run at intervals of approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
1st Heat Boys Grade 5-6
2nd Heat Girls Grade 5-6
3rd Heat Boys Grade 3-4
4th Heat Girls Grade 3-4
5th Heat Boys 2nd & under
6th Heat Girls 2nd & under
Note: Any child may run with a heat of older children if they need to finish the run early.
If you need to walk and plan to take over 12 minutes we encourage you to wait until after the first two heats.
Additional Note: No roller skates, skate boards or dogs allowed.
Weather:
In case of bad weather, listen to KFOR AM at 1240-AM or call their # at 466-1234
for cancellation notification.
Early Packet Pickup:
Friday April 30, 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel, at 1040 P Street
and on the south side of the Capitol on Saturday morning before the run.
Packet Pickup at School:
Many schools may have runners packets to pass out to students on Thursday, April
29 at their school. Check with your PE teacher to be
sure.
Parking:
Limited
parking is available in the parking lots south of the Capitol Building.
Video of the Mayor’s Run:
A video tape of all 6 heats of the Mayor’s Run can be viewed after the Mayor’s Run at the Embassy Suites Marathon Expo at 1040 P Street.
Pepsi Kid’s Grand Prix:
The KFRX Mayor’s Run is the third and largest event in the Pepsi Kid’s Grand Prix.
This noncompetitive Lincoln Track Club program is sponsored by Pepsi Bottling Company.
If this is your third event of the season, wait to pick up your prize at the the 4th event.
