On May 7, 2017, the Lincoln Marathon starting cannon will signal the start of the 40th Lincoln Marathon. In 1977, 382 runners lined up to start, and in 2017, more than 14,000 runners will toe the line. The marathon had its humble beginnings in the living room of the founders of the run. We now have a race committee of thirty volunteers who help put on the best race in the Midwest.
If you are running, good luck with your training. If you’re not running, please consider volunteering. Helping out can be so rewarding, as well as a lot of fun. Either way, join past winners and former race directors, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Lincoln Marathon. We have some surprises in store for you.
