8:00am – 5th & 6th grade boys
8:20am – 5th & 6th grade girls
8:40am – 3rd & 4th grade boys

Art Contest

Children through Grade 6 are eligible to submit artwork for consideration in the Mayor’s Run T-Shirt Design Contest.

One (1) design will be chosen as the winning artwork will be displayed on the official race t-shirt that all participants will receive.  In addition to having their artwork displayed, the winner will also receive a bicycle, bike helmet, and bike lock from Trek Bicycle Lincoln.

Four (4) other designs will be chosen as runner-up winners and displayed in the Mayor’s Run information sheet which is included in all participant packets.

The Art Winner and Runners-Up will be presented plaques.

Cost and Registration

This year marks the 37th Annual KFRX Mayor’s Run sponsored by Sandhills Global. Known as midwest America’s largest children’s run, the Mayor’s Run will be giving away 30 bikes and $1 from every entry will be donated to a local charity.

Any 6th grade or younger child is eligible to run in the Mayor’s Run. Parents, grandparents, older siblings or an adult sponsor are welcome to enter on the family plan and accompany younger runners in heats 3, 4, 5 and 6 and receive a t-shirt. It is NOT necessary for adults to register to accompany a young runner.

All runners must complete the online entry process at GetMeRegistered.com

Entry Fee & Family Plan
The first family member is the regular price of $10. If submitted together, additional family members from the same household are $6 each. Family plan entries must be registered by Tuesday, April 16th at 11:59pm. Each runner must enter online separately.

Individual Fees are as follows:

>>$10.00 if entered on or before Tuesday, April 16th
** If you register on or before April 16th and have selected an LPS elementary school, your packet and shirt will be delivered at school.

>>$12.00 from Wednesday, April 17th to Monday, April 29th

>>$16.00 from Tuesday, April 30th to Friday, May 3rd - shirt size NOT guaranteed

** If you register from April 17th-May 3rd, packets and shirts will ONLY be available at The Cornhusker Hotel from 3pm – 6pm on May 3rd and race morning from 7am – 9:30am at the tent in the parking lot south of the Capital (NOT at the Cornhusker)!

Runners can only register online through May 4th 10 am.

Race T-shirts
The Mayor’s Run t-shirt is one of the most popular race shirts for the Lincoln Track Club because it is designed by a participant in the race. Every runner who enters by Monday, April 29th is guaranteed a race t-shirt so be sure to mark your size when you register. See t-shirt designs from previous years

Packet Pickup

Many schools distribute packets at the school. Check with your PE teacher to see if your school does this.

If you register on or before April 16th and have selected an LPS elementary school, your packet and shirt will be delivered at school.

Registrations made from April 17th – April 29th, packets and shirts will be available for pick up at the Cornhusker Hotel, 333 S 13th St, Lincoln, NE 68508 from 3pm – 6pm on Friday, May 3rd. Race day packet pick up will be from 7am – 9:30 am at the tent in the parking lot south of the Capitol, NOT at the Cornhusker. No school pickup for late registration!

Additional Information

Awards
Many prizes including 30 bicycles, helmets, and bike locks from Trek Bicycle Lincoln, as well as 30 pairs of shoes from the Lincoln Running Co., will be awarded to students at school or available at packet pick up. Please check with your PE Teacher. One bike will be given to the art contest winner. All runners will also receive many valuable coupons and each runner will receive a gift from Sandhills Global.

***Bike certificates have a set dollar value and expiration date.

Parking
Limited parking is available in the parking lots on the south side of the State Capitol building.
