2025 Mayor’s Run Recap

Congratulations to all who participated in the Lincoln Track Club's 2025 KFRX Mayor's Run, sponsored by Sandhills Global. The weather was great, our volunteers were awesome, and participation was high!

Thanks are due to our sponsors! Lincoln's Hit Music 106-3 KFRX and Sandhills Global were key partners in making this race possible. Also, many thanks Linpepco for providing drinks at the finish line, SMA - Swanson's Martial Arts for providing snacks and handing them out at the finish line, and Pediatrics, P.C for providing medals and handing them out at the finish line. Shout out to Trek Bicycle Lincoln and The Lincoln Running Co. for making it possible for us to give away 30 FREE bicycles and 30 FREE pairs of running shoes to our runners.

Special thanks to our 2025 official charity, Everybody Gets a Chance, for stuffing race packets this year and helping make the start line a safe and fun environment for all 6 heats. Finally, thank you to the Nebraska National Guard volunteers for being the first in and last out - we couldn't do this with out them!

We were once again grateful to have the support of Mayor Leirion Gaylor-Baird, the City of Lincoln Government, the @Nebraska State Capitol team, and of course the PE teachers at LPS and private schools across the community. We would not have such a successful race with out their efforts to get students excited about running.
