Run Into Spring: Kick Off the 2026 Running Season with Spring Forward!
As we look ahead to the 2026 running season, the first race of the year is already on the calendar. Spring Forward is back as our shared starting line.
Whether you’re building toward the Lincoln Marathon or Half Marathon, or finding your rhythm again, Spring Forward, with 10-mile, 5K and 1-mile options, fits naturally into the training plan, as your early-season endurance check.
5 Reasons to Run Spring Forward:
Run your personal best. We know how hard you train. That's why our routes are professionally measured using USATF standards, giving you a reliable, well-tested distance on race day.
Choose your distance. This is a well-supported, inclusive event. On race morning, you’ll see experienced and competitive runners, people training for spring marathons and halves, first-time racers and walkers, kids earning Kids Grand Prix credit, wheelchair athletes, lifelong runners, and those returning from time away.
Nonprofit by design. Entry fees are intentionally accessible while supporting safety and the quality of the event experience.
A scenic, fast course winding through Antelope Park and along the Billy Wolff and Rock Island Trails.
Exceptional experience. All runners receive a long-sleeve race shirt (or socks for kids under 12), post-race food, awards, and the familiar comforts of a well-run race day.
We hope you’ll join us as we step into a new season together.
Kind regards,
Rachelle Hadley and Holly West
