Lincoln Track Club Seeking Volunteers For Marathon/Half Marathon

Assistance Needed Beginning April 29 Through May 2 Event

Did you know it takes well over 300 people to help make the Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon “run?” The 2021 event is set for May 2, and the Lincoln Track Club (LTC) is seeking volunteers to help with all aspects of the race. Options to help begin as early as Thursday, April 29, leading up to the race and go all the way through to its finish, sometime after noon on May 2.

Runners at the starting line of the Lincoln Marathon/Half Marathon.

You don’t have to be a runner to volunteer. LTC just needs people who want to help their community and who enjoy assisting others with achieving their goals.

Signing up is easy. Visit the GetMeRegistered website by simply clicking here to be taken to the Lincoln Marathon volunteer signup page. You will find various opportunities to serve, with a number of options for dates and times. You can pick one volunteer task, or, if you are so inclined, pick multiple! Just make sure the shifts you select don’t overlap.

Once you register, LTC will have all the information it needs to follow-up with you and confirm the details closer to race day.

Please note that for this year, the LTC is following specific health directives to protect everyone involved with the race, and that includes the volunteers. Masks will be required, with the exception of marathon/half marathon participants while they are active on the race course.

So, if you aren’t competing yourself, why not help out? It’s a great way to experience the excitement of the race and help find success in crossing that finish line. Again, visit GetMeRegistered and sign-up today!
