Holiday Run Goes Virtual

The Lincoln Track Club’s 2020 Holiday Run fell victim to COVID-19 in late November and had to be switched to a virtual run due to health department restrictions. As an alternative, registrants were encouraged to put on their festive gear and head to an area park sometime during the early part of December, taking Fido along for a walk or run. Those who submitted pictures of their outing were then entered into a drawing for prizes.

The Lincoln Track Club wants to thank everyone who registered for the annual event, as it is a fundraiser for the Capital Humane Society and all race entry fees go to the cause. The 2020 event raised $2,500.

The Track Club also wants to thank everyone who took the time to share pictures of their families, friends and pets walking or running outdoors and celebrating the holiday season. We enjoyed seeing your cheerful faces and can’t wait to see you in person for the 2021 Holiday Run.
